Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a psychiatric behavioral disorder that shows itself as a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity/impulsivity that is more frequent and severe than is typically seen in one’s peers. Only a trained health care provider can accurately diagnose ADHD.

Step 3: Take your results to your doctor to discuss your symptoms.

An accurate diagnosis can be made only through a clinical evaluation.
