Talking with Your Doctor
Being open and honest with your doctor matters
The more information your doctor has about you, the better able he or she can evaluate symptoms, give you a correct diagnosis, and determine an appropriate course of action.
Prepare for your appointment
Because office visits can be brief, make sure you have all the information you need for your doctor when it's time for your appointment. Take the time to write down the symptoms that you see and any concerns you may have.
If your doctor has prescribed Vyvanse, he or she may periodically ask you to stop taking your medication as a way to reassess your symptoms and to determine whether or not you need a different treatment plan.
You should work with your doctor to create a plan to continue tracking your symptoms on an ongoing basis. Using a tool like the ADHD Progress Tracker can help you track your symptoms.
Take some of the guesswork out of preparing for your appointment.
